The Treatments

A place to pause. A treatment here does not start upstairs. It starts down here, in front of the painted wall — looking is the first step. Then scent, then water, then hands, in an order chosen for you. And it ends where it began: back in this room, with something to taste. Four decisions go into every one of them — which oil, how much pressure, in what order, and what you drink when it is over. Nothing here is applied to a body part.

You say what is behind you and what is still ahead — a flight, a market, a whole day on your feet, or something you need to be awake for. Everything upstairs is composed from that. For a facial a sixty-second analysis reads your skin before anything touches it, and we build from what it shows. Nothing on your skin is anonymous — the herbs in the bath come from one family in Sa Pa, not from a supplier. It is also why the card changes at six: a body at noon needs something else than a body at midnight.
